Tiaras Fit For A Hollywood Princess

We asked Jane from Perfect (Tiaras and Jewellery) for advice on what’s hip and how to choose your Tiaras.
Jane explains, “There is one golden rule, as much care and attention should go into choosing your crowning glory as you put into choosing your gown.
Glamour is back! Just think of the timeless elegance of Audrey Hepburn and Grace Kelly, mix it with the fabulous style of today’s red carpet stars and away you go!
Pearls, diamante and clear crystals are on everything from beautifully encrusted full tiaras to delicate hairpins. Brides are being more adventurous by having coloured crystals in their tiaras. Contemporary tiaras can look fantastic with the right gown and hairstyle. Elegant feather & flower creations in ivory and pale pinks with delicate modesty veils just covering the face highlighted with tiny Aurora Borealis crystals are also proving to be very popular and look amazing with a corseted fishtail gown or a Jackie O style suit. Silk flower headdresses and vintage style miniature top hats and wrist corsages are hugely popular and have been seen at all the top bridal fashion shows. Or dare to be different and include colour and alternatives to the norm….shells or a vintage brooch. Remember a good designer should be able to come up with something that suits you and your personality.
Whatever you choose, do it wisely – think glamour and chic. Take your gown, your hairstyle and the whole look of your wedding into consideration. Remember your tiara and jewellery can finish your look perfectly. Take advice from your tiara designer. A good designer will always ask about the style of your gown, its detailing and how you intend to wear your hair. They will always take into account your face shape and your height too. Many designers out there now offer alternatives to the traditional tiara, bejewelled hairpins and combs and asymmetric hair bands. Having someone who is an expert to design something especially for you doesn’t have to cost the earth either and it’s a fantastic way to get just the right finishing touch.
You want to be the star of your very own show, the aisle is your red carpet so go and sparkle and be truly glamorous and have a wedding day to remember.”
